Typical Sunday Schedule
9:00 AM Emerson Inter-generational Orchestra (EIO) Rehearsal
9:45 AM Professional Childcare Begins
10:00 AM Adult Ed and Programs for Children and Youth
11:00 AM Worship
11:15 AM Sunday School
If you visit us and attend a Sunday worship service, it will likely feel familiar to you. Services are led by our ordained Co-Ministers, Becky and Mark Edmiston-Lange. One or both of them usually give the sermon along with various readings and seasonal observances. The service is accompanied by religious music ranging from organ to rock music, from hymns to choral songs.
People are usually dressed in business casual attire and some wear jeans and sneakers, so come in what you feel most comfortable.
Emerson offers an expansive religious education program for adults, youth and children. We have study groups, volunteer opportunities in the community as well as on campus, fellowship groups and much, much more. Our nursery provides care for infants and toddlers during Sunday activities and is staffed by childcare professionals whom we have screened.
Email us or give us a call (713-782-8250) if you would like to speak by phone—we'll be happy to contact you--and please visit us soon. You are always welcome. Feel free to explore our church, our congregation and our faith in your own way. If you want to see more of our campus, check out the Flickr set of our campus.
