Joining Our Church
Joining Emerson is simple! Membership is open to anyone who is in general agreement with a religious society dedicated to the principles of a free faith. We believe that the authority for your belief is your own conscience and intellect. We only ask that you be willing to undertake your religious quest and contribute personally and financially to further the activities of the church.
If you want to know more about Emerson or Unitarian Universalism, we offer an informative introductory program (with free lunch) led by Rev. Mark Edmiston-Lange called Introduction to Unitarian Universalism, but attendance is not required for membership. If you think you're ready to join, our "Join Emerson Sundays" usually meet the first Sunday of the month.
If you would like to join the Emerson congregation, please complete a membership card on Sunday and give it to an usher, place it the collection plate, or mail it to the church. The cards are available in the pew racks and at the Information Corner in The Clara Barton Gathering Place. For further information, please contact the Membership Committee or our Ministers.
