Endowment Grants
In January of 2008, members of Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church passed the “10% Solution” during the annual congregational meeting. This resolution reserves 10% of the annual increase in the Emerson Endowment as a special fund for charitable giving to non-profit organizations, including Unitarian Universalist organizations. The application process for the fund is managed by the Social Action Council, and a final decision for awards is approved by the Board of Trustees and a vote by the congregation.
The Endowment Grant Awards were developed for two primary purposes:
1. To support local organizations with one time contributions for special projects or to meet urgent operational needs
