Message from Becky and Mark
Dear Members and Friends,
Our beloved community of faith, reason, and affection welcomes all to grow in mind and spirit to build a better world. Notice: we are not simply building your “better world” but a “better world.”
Few want a “worse world.” Yet what are our plans for the better version? The theme for this year’s canvass is Many Voices - One Community. Forging one community out of many very different voices is certainly an important step toward a better world. And imagine what could be the result of Emerson’s becoming increasingly adept at being that community? Don’t you think others in the wider world would pay more attention, maybe even start to climb out of all the dreadful ruts and dead end gullies that plague the world now?
Perhaps. There are no guarantees - but that outcome is certainly worth our best effort. So please give as generously as you can - for your world, for our better world. Since we all have to live here we might as well, literally, make the best of it. -Becky and Mark Edmiston-Lange

Ways to Give
You can always pledge electronically. If you don't wish to pledge electronically, pledge cards will be available for pick up in the pews, church office, or online anytime. Also, you can call or email our Business Administrator, Karen Van Horn, at 713-782-8250/karen@emersonhouston.org.
Pledge with any major credit card, your bank account, check, PayPal, or cash. Please see our Payment page for more info.
You can also donate to Emerson while you shop! You can donate to us when you shop at Randall’s, Amazon, and Kroger!
You can link your Randall’s card to us through their Good Neighbor program. Tell the cashier you’d like to link your card to a non-profit, give them our number, and they’ll take care of it. Our number is 2728.
You can shop at Amazon through our online porthole, which gives us a percentage. Look for the link in the Eblast as well.
To give to us through Kroger's Neighbor to Neighbor program, pick up a printed page with a scan code in the Welcome Area, print the page, and bring it to Kroger. When you check out, have the cashier scan the page when you scan your Kroger card the first time you use it each year.
Note: the Kroger program is available July through April each year and users must renew each year after July 1. Check back here in July for the link to the Emerson page with our scan code for the Neighbor to Neighbor program.
Thanks for thinking of Emerson when you shop!
