The Emerson Ministry for Earth is open to all—newcomers and long term members alike. Our group promotes the seventh principle of the Unitarian Universalist Association: |
| …to affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
Our mission is to educate ourselves and others about environmental issues; advocate public policies to protect the global environment; act locally in our homes, church and city; and connect spiritually with the web-of-all-existence. Ozone Theater: Setting the Stage for Air Pollution Education Ozone Theater is an interactive enrichment program for Elementary School and pre-K classrooms offered by Mothers for Clean Air to teach students about the importance of air quality, air pollution, its sources, and its effects on human health. To meet the environmental justice requirement for Green Sanctuary Certification, several members of the Emerson Ministry for Earth group were trained and presented this program in several schools in the Houston area.
